5-Day curated itinerary
Day 1 Settle in at your hotel, then hop on a city bus tour to get your bearings. Hop off in time for dinner at Michelin-starred Orfali Bros, ranked among the World’s Best 50 Restaurants™.
Day 2 Start your first full day in Dubai with a traditional breakfast of chebab (pancakes) and regag (crisp flatbread filled with cheese, egg, or honey), topped off with a cup of bold gahwa (Arabic coffee). After, browse the many shops and attractions of the famous Dubai Mall. Then, venture to the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building on earth, and one of its most eye-catching, for a three-course afternoon tea at Atmosphere, the world’s highest restaurant. Catch the aquatic spectacle of the Dubai Fountain on your way out before exploring more of the downtown; an underwater zoo, e-karting, and Dubai Opera each make an entertaining choice.
Day 3 Try another traditional dish this morning, balaleet (fried eggs with vermicelli) at the Al Fahidi Arabian Tea House Restaurant & café, known for its classic cuisine. Continue your study of local heritage at the souks (markets) of Old Dubai and the sikkas of Al Fahidi Historical District. In the late afternoon, disembark on your Desert Safari and Sunset BBQ tour. Ride a camel across the sand dunes—a must-do experience—to a Bedouin campsite, where you’ll learn about life in the desert and enjoy a delicious dinner and cultural performance under the stars.
Day 4 Spend the day discovering an Emirati icon: Palm Jumeirah. A manmade island designed in the shape of a palm tree, it’s home to premier luxury resorts, more than 80 dining venues, and a popular promenade. Enjoy an afternoon of aquatic fun at Aquaventure, the world’s largest water park, at Atlantis Dubai, pausing for lunch—and a few games at the bowling alley or arcade—at the Wavehouse. Later, relax with a treatment at a traditional hammam, then head to The View at Palm Jumeirah at sunset for breathtaking vistas over the city. End the evening at one of the trendy lounges of Palm West Beach.
Day 5 Get a glimpse into tomorrow at the Museum of the Future—a fitting final adventure in Dubai. See technology straight out of a science fiction novel, experience life on a space station, and enter a VR Dubai of 2071. Say your goodbyes to the real thing and transfer to the airport for your flight home.
